To the east, where the ground drops away toward a creek and the Oos River, the decline is articulated by sweeping stone steps down to a generous main pool. Troughout, the architecture is stepped and terraced, repeating and reiterating the surrounding rice terraces. The pool mirrors the sky and bursts of pure white frangipani.
